Refund policy

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

We want you to be happy with what you buy from APA Pure Living. This page explains your legal right to cancel, our 30-day returns promise, what happens if something arrives faulty, and how refunds work. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. Your legal right to cancel (14 days)

  • You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it (or the day you receive the last item, if an order arrives in several parcels).

  • To cancel, simply tell us: email info@apa-pureliving.co.uk, use the contact form on our website, or send us the cancellation form below. You do not have to use the form, and you do not need our approval: your cancellation takes effect the moment you tell us.

  • Once you have told us, please send the item back within 14 days. We will reply with the correct return address and instructions (our products are dispatched from different UK warehouses, so the return address depends on the item). Please wait for that address before posting anything, so your parcel does not go astray.

  • You can examine the item as you would in a shop. If it has been used or handled more than needed to check it, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value. Please keep the original packaging where you can. Flat-pack furniture and office chairs should be taken apart again and packed securely, ideally in the original box, so they are not damaged on the way back; electrical items should come back with all their cables, adaptors and remote controls.

  • Return postage: if you cancel because you have changed your mind, you pay the cost of returning the item. Most items can be sent by Royal Mail or a parcel courier; for large or heavy items (for example desks, office chairs, filing cabinets or cookware sets) the cost is typically £10 to £40, depending on size and weight. If the item was faulty, damaged or not as described, we pay the return cost (see section 3).

  • Items that cannot be cancelled once the seal is broken, for hygiene reasons: pillows, bedding and personal care items supplied sealed.

2. Our 30-day returns promise

On top of your legal rights, you can return any unused item in its original condition within 30 days of receiving it. The same steps apply: tell us, we send you the return address, you post it back at your own cost, and we refund you once it arrives. This promise also applies to items bought at a reduced price.

A few items have extra conditions under this promise, set by the UK warehouse that sends them (they never limit your legal rights in section 1 or section 3):

  • Natural Wooden Coat Hangers, Pack of 20: please return them in their original packaging.

  • Wobble Balance Board for Standing Desks: this is a large item, so please use a tracked courier service and pack it well; the original box is best, but any sturdy packaging that protects it is fine.

3. Faulty, damaged or wrong items

  • Please check your order when it arrives and tell us as soon as possible if anything is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. A photo helps us sort it out faster.

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have the right to reject a faulty item within 30 days for a full refund. After 30 days you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible, a refund.

  • For faulty, damaged or incorrect items we pay the return postage (we will send you a pre-paid label or refund the cost) and we refund your original delivery charge too. In many cases we will not need the item back at all.

4. Refunds

  • Refunds go to the original payment method.

  • If you cancel within 14 days, we refund the price of the goods plus our standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the item back, or of you sending us proof of postage, whichever is earlier.

  • For returns under our 30-day promise, we refund the price of the goods within 14 days of receiving the item.

  • Your bank or card provider may take a few extra days to show the money in your account.

5. Exchanges

We do not run exchanges. The quickest way to get a different item is to return the one you have and place a new order.

6. Items delivered from outside the UK

A few of our products (The Copper Ritual collection) are sent to you directly from our workshop partner overseas. If you return one of these because you have changed your mind, you pay the return postage to the address we give you, which may be in the UK. Any import charges you may have paid to the courier are not part of the price we refund; you can reclaim them from HMRC using form BOR286 (Royal Mail) or C285 (other couriers).
