The conical burr crushes the beans to an even size, and you set the grind once for the way you brew. The lid and the handle are separate pieces, so grounds stay inside while you turn, and the whole grinder is 20 cm tall and 0.68 kg: easy to take on a weekend away or to keep on a desk at work.
No power and no noise to speak of. The burr lifts out to be brushed clean, and the rounded base of the grounds cup means nothing gets stuck in the corners.
