A classic eight-sided moka pot for four small, strong cups, in black with a wooden handle and knob.
Fill the base to just below the safety valve, spoon ground coffee into the funnel without pressing it, screw the top on and set it over a low heat. When it starts to gurgle, take it off and pour. It is the simplest way to make strong coffee at home, with no capsules, paper filters or plug.
Aluminium heats quickly and evenly, and the pot works on gas, electric and ceramic hobs and a camping stove, but not on induction. Small enough to pack for a holiday.
