Part of the APA Pure Living Cookware & Pots Collection — honest cookware in materials our grandparents would recognise. A pre-seasoned cast iron pot whose lid is a shallow skillet in its own right. Braise, stew and roast in the base, flip the lid to fry eggs or sear a steak, or put the two together and cook in the oven or over a campfire.
Two pans in one is more useful than it sounds: sear the meat in the skillet, tip it into the pot with the onions and stock, put the skillet back on as the lid and leave it to cook gently. The next morning the skillet does breakfast. Cast iron holds heat for a long time and works on every hob, including induction, and two wide side handles make it easy to lift.
The surface has the slightly textured finish of traditional sand casting, and it grows smoother with every meal cooked in a little oil. About 3.3 kg of iron, with nothing to peel or wear away.
Ships from a UK warehouse; usually delivered in 4–10 working days.
